Best bet now is night fishing weed bed edges for bass and walleye. Some fish being caught under lights at night (crappie, walleye, few cats).

Smallies have been spawning the last few days, fish are being caught but very scattered. Drifting live bait, crankbaits and swimbaits are producing fish. Flats are the most productive for smallies. Largemouth are active in creeks and heads of coves on cranks and jerkbaits. A few crappie are being caught, but good size. Decent catches of shellcrackers and bluegill around standing timber on worms. Recent heavy rains and high winds have caused an increase in debris on lake. Water clarity is from clear on main lake to murky/muddy in head of creeks. 60-63 degree water temps in middle of day.

Lake is slowly falling, water temps in mid 50′s on main lake, higher back in creeks. Smallies are on breaks coming on to flats to right up on banks depending on the day’s weather. Crankbait bite is good, craw colored patterns working best. Jerkbaits and spinnerbaits are all producing good numbers of fish. Drifting live bait is hot now. Good catches of largemouth in heads of creeks and coves around structure, fish are very shallow. Some decent bluegill on worms and crickets. Crappie are still spotty, but some good size. Been picking up some good 3-5 lb walleye while drifting flats with live bait.

Rain, rain, rain and more rain. Water is muddy to murky to nearly clear depending on the location. Water temps range from low 50′s up in creeks to high 40′s on main lake. Largemouth are somewhat active in creeks on crankbaits, jigs and plastics worked close to structure. Smallies on main lake are still hitting along bluffs and points. Been getting some good fish on jerkbaits around timber and willows. Live shad drifted are producing good fish. Picking up a few crappie around willows in 5-10 ft water. Be carefull, lots of floating debris.

With the recent cold and snowy conditions, not a lot of fishing going on. Water temps in low 40′s-high 30′s, shad have started to die off. Floating fly is putting some fish to boat, few on live shad on bottom or slow drifting along deep water drop offs.

Even with the extreme cold and ice/snow we have had recently, anglers are still catching smallies.
Float-n-fly methods along bluffs and main lake/secondary points are producing some decent fish. Live shad/alewives are best producing option – mainly bottom fishing steep shale points and downrodding along creek channels in 35-50 feet of water. Getting a few good spotted bass mixed in with the smallies.
Please be careful while winter fishing – hypotermia/frostbite can occur quicker than you realize.
